Safety Requirements Specifications (SRS) Development

We assist customers with developing their SRS in compliance with your corporate standards,  recognized international standards such as IEC 61511, and all applicable local regulations . These documents are used to specify the functional and integrity requirements of the SIS.

Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) Design and Evaluation - Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Verification

Our SIF modeling and design expertise ensures compliance with IEC 61511. SIFs are designed to meet both your risk reduction requirements as well as your plant availability requirements.

Existing shutdown systems and protective functions can be reviewed to determine the SIL achieved by each protective function. Plant availability is critical to our customers; spurious trips can be costly. As such, we will recommend areas where the design of existing shutdown systems can be modified to reduce the spurious trip rate and increase up time.

SIS Design and Implementation

We design, configure, test, commission, and validate the SIS as well as participate in the start-up activities. We also provide the necessary IEC 61511 compliant documentation.

Proof Test Procedure Development SIFs must be tested periodically to ensure that the calculated probability of failure on demand (PFD) is maintained. Proof testing is a requirement of IEC 61511. We assist customers in developing proper proof test procedures to ensure compliance to corporate international standards.
